Why choose Wave Aesthetics?
Wave Aesthetics provides personalized aesthetic care in a welcoming, pressure-free environment. Every treatment plan is based on your individual anatomy, concerns, goals, comfort level, and budget.
The focus is not on changing the way you look. It is on helping you feel refreshed, confident, and like the best version of yourself through honest recommendations and natural-looking results.
-
Botox and Dysport are injectable neuromodulators that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles. They help soften dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated facial expressions, including forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet.
Treatments are customized to your facial anatomy and goals, with an emphasis on refreshed, natural-looking results.
-
Botox and Dysport work in similar ways, but there are subtle differences in their formulation, onset, and how they spread within the treatment area. One product is not necessarily better than the other for every patient.
During your consultation, your provider will recommend the option that best fits your facial anatomy, muscle movement, treatment area, and desired results.
-
Common treatment areas include:
Forehead lines
Frown lines, sometimes called the “11s”
Crow’s feet
Bunny lines around the nose
Chin dimpling
Downturned corners of the mouth
Lip flip
Gummy smile
Jawline and masseter muscles
Neck bands
Not every treatment is appropriate for every patient. Your provider will determine which areas can be safely treated based on your anatomy and medical history.
-
You may begin noticing improvement within a few days. Full results are typically evaluated approximately two weeks after treatment.
-
Results commonly last approximately three to four months, although duration varies based on the treatment area, dose, muscle strength, metabolism, and individual response.
-
Most patients describe the injections as a series of quick, small pinches. Treatment usually takes only a few minutes, and discomfort is typically minimal.
-
The goal at Wave Aesthetics is to soften unwanted lines while preserving natural expression. Your treatment will be customized based on your facial movement and desired level of correction.
Some patients prefer more movement, while others prefer a smoother result. These preferences will be discussed before treatment.
-
Botox and Dysport are FDA-approved prescription medications with established safety profiles when used appropriately. Treatment is performed by a licensed medical provider after reviewing your medical history, medications, allergies, and treatment goals.
As with any medical treatment, side effects and complications are possible. Your provider will discuss the risks, benefits, and alternatives before treatment.
-
There is generally little to no downtime. You may notice temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or small bumps at the injection sites. Bruising is also possible.
Most patients can return to their usual activities shortly after their appointment.
-
Aftercare instructions may vary, but patients are generally advised to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas, lying flat for several hours, vigorous exercise, and excessive heat immediately following treatment.
You will receive personalized aftercare instructions during your visit.
-
Yes, and they are strongly encouraged. Follow-up recommendations depend on the treatment and your individual plan. Neuromodulator results should be allowed to fully develop before they are assessed, which usually takes approximately two weeks.
Please contact the office if you have questions or concerns about your results.
-
Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore volume, enhance facial contours, improve balance, and soften certain lines and folds. Many commonly used fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the body.
-
Depending on your anatomy and goals, filler may be used in areas such as:
Lips
Cheeks
Chin
Midface
Jawline
Smile lines
Marionette lines
Lower face
Areas of facial volume loss
A full facial assessment helps determine which areas, if any, would benefit from treatment.
-
Filler longevity varies depending on the product, treatment area, amount used, metabolism, and individual anatomy. Results may last approximately six to eighteen months, although some fillers may last longer or require maintenance sooner.
-
The amount of filler needed depends on your starting anatomy, treatment area, desired result, and whether you prefer a gradual or more comprehensive treatment plan.
Some patients may reach their goal with one syringe, while others may benefit from treatment completed over multiple appointments. Your provider will recommend a personalized plan and review pricing before treatment begins.
-
Wave Aesthetics focuses on balanced, natural-looking enhancement. Treatment is carefully planned to complement your existing features rather than change what makes you look like yourself.
Conservative treatment and gradual correction may be recommended when appropriate.
-
Most fillers contain lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. Additional comfort measures may include topical numbing medication, ice, or other techniques depending on the treatment area.
Patients may feel pressure, pinching, or temporary discomfort during injections.
-
Dermal fillers have established safety profiles when appropriately selected and administered by a qualified medical provider. However, all injectable treatments carry potential risks, including bruising, swelling, infection, asymmetry, lumps, vascular complications, and other rare but serious side effects.
Your provider will review the risks, benefits, and alternatives before treatment.
-
Swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, and temporary asymmetry are common after filler treatment. These effects usually improve over several days, although some areas (especially the lips) may take up to two weeks to fully settle.
Plan filler appointments AT LEAST two weeks before an important event whenever possible.
-
You will notice an immediate change, but swelling can temporarily affect the appearance of the treated area. Final results are typically evaluated after the filler has settled and swelling has resolved, usually around two-four weeks after treatment.
-
Many hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an injectable enzyme called hyaluronidase when medically appropriate. At Wave Aesthetics we ONLY use filler that can be dissolved.
Dissolving filler is also a medical procedure and may require more than one session. Your provider will explain what to expect before proceeding.
-
It is best to schedule filler at least two weeks before a wedding, vacation, photography session, or other important event. This allows time for swelling and bruising to resolve.
-
SkinPen is an FDA-cleared microneedling device that creates controlled microchannels in the skin. This process supports the skin’s natural remodeling response and stimulates collagen production.
-
SkinPen microneedling may help improve the appearance of:
Acne scars
Fine lines
Uneven skin texture
Enlarged-looking pores
Dullness
Mild pigmentation concerns
Overall skin tone and firmness
Results vary, and some concerns may require a combination of treatments or skincare.
-
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to improve comfort. Most patients describe the sensation as light pressure, vibration, or a sandpaper like feeling.
Some areas of the face may be more sensitive than others.
-
Appointment length varies, but time is needed for cleansing, topical numbing, treatment, and aftercare instructions. Please plan for approximately one hour unless otherwise directed.
-
Redness similar to a mild sunburn is common for the first 24 to 48 hours. The skin may also feel warm, tight, dry, sensitive, or slightly rough for several days.
Downtime varies depending on treatment depth and individual skin response.
-
Patients are generally advised to avoid makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment. Your provider will give you specific instructions based on your skin and treatment.
-
Many patients benefit from a series of three or more treatments spaced approximately four to six weeks apart. More sessions may be recommended for acne scarring or more significant texture concerns.
Your treatment plan will be customized based on your skin, goals, and response.
-
Some patients notice brighter, smoother looking skin within the first few weeks. Collagen remodeling develops gradually, so continued improvement may occur over several months.
-
Microneedling can be an option for a wide range of skin tones. However, every patient must be evaluated individually to determine whether treatment is appropriate.
Your provider will review your medical history, skin condition, medications, and risk factors before treatment.
-
Microneedling may not be appropriate for patients with certain active skin infections, open wounds, uncontrolled medical conditions, impaired healing, or other contraindications.
Treatment is generally postponed during pregnancy. Your provider will review your health history and determine whether treatment is safe for you.
-
You do not need to decide before your appointment. Your visit begins with a personalized consultation to discuss your concerns, medical history, goals, timeline, and budget.
Your provider will assess your skin or facial anatomy and explain which options may be appropriate. You will never be pressured into treatment.
-
Every new patient receives a consultation and medical assessment before treatment. In many cases, the consultation and treatment can occur during the same appointment if treatment is appropriate and you feel ready to proceed.
-
In many cases, yes. Same-day treatment depends on the service, your medical history, available appointment time, and whether you are an appropriate candidate.
There is no pressure to proceed. You are always welcome to take time to consider your options.
-
Your first visit may include:
A review of your medical history, medications, and allergies
A discussion of your concerns and goals
A facial or skin assessment
Before photographs
Education about available treatment options
A customized treatment plan
A review of pricing, risks, benefits, and aftercare
Treatment may be performed during the same visit when appropriate.
-
Feeling nervous before an aesthetic treatment is completely normal. Your provider will explain each step, answer your questions, and make sure you feel comfortable before proceeding.
You may also schedule a consultation without committing to treatment.
-
Yes. Neuromodulators, dermal fillers, microneedling, and medical-grade skincare can often be combined as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Some treatments can be performed during the same visit, while others should be spaced apart. Your provider will recommend the safest timing.
-
Please arrive with a clean face when possible. Avoid alcohol before treatment, as it may increase the likelihood of bruising.
Certain medications and supplements can also increase bruising risk. However, never stop a prescribed medication without speaking with the healthcare professional who prescribed it.
Contact Wave Aesthetics before your appointment if you have questions about medications, supplements, illness, recent vaccines, dental procedures, or upcoming medical treatments.
-
Bruising is a possible side effect of any injectable treatment. Scheduling your appointment well before an important event can give bruising time to resolve.
Please tell your provider about any medications, supplements, or medical conditions that may affect bruising or bleeding.
-
You may wear makeup, but arriving with a clean face is preferred. Makeup will need to be removed from the treatment area before the procedure.
-
Exercise recommendations depend on the treatment. Vigorous exercise is usually avoided immediately after injectable treatments and for at least 24 hours after microneedling.
Follow the personalized aftercare instructions provided at your appointment.
-
Contact Wave Aesthetics if you experience unexpected symptoms, worsening pain, unusual skin discoloration, visual changes, significant swelling, signs of infection, or anything else that concerns you.
Urgent or severe symptoms may require emergency medical attention.
-
$11/unit. Neuromodulators are typically priced according to the number of units used. The amount needed varies based on the treatment area, muscle strength, facial anatomy, and desired result.
Your provider will recommend an appropriate dose and review pricing before treatment.
-
Filler pricing depends on the product selected and the number of syringes used. A personalized recommendation and exact quote will be provided during your consultation before treatment begins.

-
Elective injectable treatments and microneedling are generally postponed during pregnancy. Recommendations while breastfeeding may vary depending on the treatment.
Please tell your provider if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, or undergoing fertility treatment so that your appointment can be planned safely.
-
No treatment is appropriate for every person. Eligibility depends on your health history, medications, allergies, skin condition, previous procedures, pregnancy status, and treatment goals.
A medical consultation is required before treatment.
-
Certain filler treatments may need to be scheduled away from dental cleanings or dental procedures. Please tell your provider about recent or upcoming dental work so appropriate timing can be discussed.
-
Your appointment may need to be rescheduled if you are ill, have an active infection, are taking antibiotics for an infection, or have a skin concern near the treatment area.
Please contact the office before your appointment for guidance.
-
Yes. Wave Aesthetics carries carefully selected skincare products from skinbetter science® and Colorescience®.
Your provider can recommend products based on your skin type, concerns, lifestyle, and treatment plan.
-
No. An effective routine does not need to include a large number of products. For many patients, a consistent routine with a cleanser, targeted treatment product, moisturizer, and daily sunscreen is a strong foundation.
Recommendations will be personalized to your needs and budget.
-
Sun protection helps reduce irritation, protect healing skin, prevent worsening pigmentation, and support long-term skin health. Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is especially important following microneedling and when using active skincare products.
-
Appointments can be scheduled through the “Book Now” button on the Wave Aesthetics website. You may also contact the office directly with questions before booking.
-
Please review the cancellation policy shown during online booking, as policies may be updated. Advance notice is appreciated when you need to cancel or reschedule so that the appointment time can be offered to another patient.
-
Maintenance timing depends on your treatment and goals. Common timelines include:
Botox or Dysport approximately every three to four months
Dermal filler maintenance approximately every twelve to eighteen months
SkinPen treatments every four to six weeks during a series
Skincare follow-up as needed
Your provider will create a personalized maintenance plan without pressure to treat more frequently than necessary.
